Hagia Sophia Mosque photo copyrighted by: Burak Sansal The Hagia Sophia church became a mosque afther Sultan Mehmed II ordered it and they put the islamic features inside like mihrab and minbar and 4 minarets outside. It was a mosque until 1935 when it was converted into a museum.
