Museum of Natural History New York photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow The new Rose Center for Earth and Space, which replaced
the old Hayden Planetarium, is an ultra modern building
that looks like it could have come from a science
fiction story. It’s a clear glass cube, which is
dominated by the sphere of the new planetarium theater.
A spiral walkway winds down from the sphere, through
scale models of stars, galaxies and planets hanging from the ceiling, to the gallery’s floor.
