Osaka Castle Japan photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow The castle, as it stands today, is a 1931 reconstruction and more improvisations in 1997 have given it a different finery.
It was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537-1598) a man
born by a peasent who became the ruler who finally after
many years of fights unified Japan.
