Phitsanulok Temple photo copyrighted by: Alan Ingram Phitsanulok temple, like most Asian temples, was a complex of shrines. Phitsanulok once served as the capital of Thailand for 25 years. It is a fairly lively city and a good place to stay if you want to visit the lower north of the country. It is a good base to make a visit to Sukhothai.
